Rain from the Sky, Sunshine in Our Hearts

Five days. Four evening events. Four tour formats. One hundred guests from the USA experienced Berlin in their own unique way. This was our summer project for an international car company: an incentive trip for the top salespeople of the year and their partners. Our goal was to create a trip full of impressions, diversity, and a touch of Berlin flair.

They arrived in style!

Even the check-in was an experience in itself. Our hotel partner was centrally located and stylish with a design that immediately appealed to guests. Guests were within walking distance of the heart of the city and had a temporary home that offered the perfect balance of comfort and character.

Tours; variety meets perfect time planning

Over three days, guests could choose from four different tours, with each format running in parallel but repeated daily. This ensured that everyone could participate.

  • East meets West: A city tour tracing the history of the divided city with iconic locations, personal stories, and historical contrasts.
  • Cycling Through Berlin: Three hours of cycling through the city, through parks, past landmarks, and into neighborhoods not found in every travel guide.
  • On the Water: A canoe tour was planned, but the weather didn't cooperate. So, we changed our plans spontaneously. A modern, solar-powered boat took over the route – sustainable, quiet, and surprising.
  • Culinary Discovery Tour: From street food and regional specialties to apple strudel in a traditional café, this tour showcases the flavors of the capital.

Another highlight was a day trip to a nearby car factory, where guests can gain insights into innovative vehicle technology, including the latest generation of self-driving models. This is a highlight even for well-informed car enthusiasts.

Evenings to remember!

We also had a lot to offer in terms of cuisine. Four evenings, each with its own unique character:

  • One evening featured a classic Berlin menu with live music in a charming old building.
  • A shared dining concept in a modern restaurant with an urban twist.
  • A festive gala dinner in a former industrial hall with spectacular lighting design.
  • Finally, we had a relaxed evening surrounded by greenery right by the water.

What was the undisputed highlight?

The floating violinist at the gala: an act that elegantly descended from the ceiling while playing live music. It was a moment when you briefly forgot that you were in the middle of Berlin and not in a modern fairy tale.

Flexible in mind and quick in action!

Although the canoe tour was cancelled at the last minute, the switch to the solar boat was a complete success. We checked the weather forecast daily and were able to react quickly and confidently. The guests appreciated this most of all: our ability to think ahead and find solutions quickly.

Teamwork as it should be!

We organized the project as a team of two—Livia and Fayza—and were supported on site by Hilke, Sharherya, and Marvin, as well as six hostesses every day. Many hands, one flow - and, in the end, overwhelmingly positive feedback. An exclusive chocolate tasting was also particularly well-received, not only because of the taste, but also because of the charming presentation.

Sustainability? We thought of that, too.

With the solar-powered ship, short distances, careful hotel selection, and well-planned logistics, we earned many green points along the way and demonstrated that high-quality event design and sustainability can go hand in hand.
